I’m working on the shop hop report, but first I must show you my new cabinet! An incredibly kind, generous friend and member of my church, Herb K, made me this. I had given him one of the plastic drawer units and said I wanted a wooden cabinet to hold them. This is better than I could have ever imagined! Its so beautiful!
Each unit has 60 drawers for a total of 240 drawers. I plan on putting two DMC threads per drawer, with the exception of a few that will get their own drawer (white, 310…). I will label and sort my threads in it as soon as I sort and box the Honduras donations. I Love It! I imagine a future of DMC threads organized and ready for any project. No more trying to find that one thread I need and having to make a special trip to the hobby store to purchase it.
What a masterpiece! The wooden cabinet is so classy! And now we all want one. See what you’ve started?
Lucky, lucky you! That is awesome and SO handy! My floss is tossed in a bunch of zip lock bags. It is such a pain to dig through them to find a color…what I would give to have this beauty. I need Herb K as my neighbor, he is very talented. Enjoy it you lucky thing! 😀
O my goodness!! My jaw hit the floor when I saw that picture. It’s beautiful!!! … It’s HUGE!!! Imagine it all filled with sumptuous, colourful floss… *sigh*…

Oh my gosh, Julie. This is fabulous. It looks so beautiful, wow!!! It is just perfect for all your threads and it doesn’t use up a lot of space. I love it all! You are so lucky to have had someone so talented make this for you. You can tell it took pride in making it.

I am so jealous of this cabinet!! I keep all my floss in baggies in a box and it takes so long to go thru them for my projects I have been saying for a year now I want my boyfriend to make me something similar but gees nothing that amazing!!
